Foreign Citizens Educational Centre (FCEC)

Foreign Citizens Educational Centre of the Moscow State Forest University offers academic courses to foreign citizens (attendants of Russian courses or Preparatory Course for foreign citizens; undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students; associate professors and people who came for internship). Cooperation is carried out on the following schemes:
  • intergovernmental agreements (level of states);
  • students transfer between Universities;
  • direct agreements with foreign Universities and organizations;
  • training of foreign citizens on commercial basis.
FCEC allows admission of foreign applicants of several categories:
  • CIS citizens
  • Foreign students who intend to apply for courses on contractual basis or receive grants for education in their native countries on the basis of intergovernmental agreements.
FCEC has agreements on cooperation with Universities in the Yugoslavia, USA, Iran, Germany, Great Britain, China, Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Netherlands and other countries.

All theoretical and practical classes are in Russian.

The University is licensed to carry out State Testing of Russian and issue Certificates of the 1st and 2nd level, necessary for foreign citizens intending to enter Russian universities.

Preparatory Department and Russian Course Programs provide one-year preparatory courses. Students receive special Certificates.

In order to pursue Undergraduate, Graduate and Post-Graduate studies as well as Engineering programs in Russian foreign applicants must have adequate command of Russian meeting the requirements of Preparatory Department of Moscow State Forest University (1st level Certificate for bachelor's degree study, master's degree study and engineering programs; 2nd level Certificate for post-graduate programs) or other Russian university, having licensed Preparatory Department for foreign citizens. Applicants who do not have Diploma proving completion of Preparatory Course undergo a Russian Test for additional fee.

Entry Basic Subject Tests and Russian Test are organized by Dean's Office on Work with Foreign Citizens and Post-Graduate Programs Office.

List of documents to be submitted by foreign citizens for admission to Moscow State Forest University:

Foreign students wishing to enter Moscow State Forest University must submit the following documents:

Preparatory Department for Foreign Students:
  1. School Certificate (original copy or copy certified and notarized in the Embassy of the Russian Federation);
  2. Medical Certificate, proving that the student is in good health and able to pursue a serious program of study at a technical university (including results of AIDS test, made not earlier than 2 months before the submission of documents);
  3. 12 passport size photos;
  4. Certificate of Birth (original or copy).

Undergraduate Programs:
All documents listed above plus official Diploma proving completion of Preparatory Course in licensed Preparatory Department of a Russian university. Applicants with good command of Russian who do not have said Diploma undergo a Russian Test for additional fee. The test scores are considered by the Office of Admissions before making admission decision


Graduate Programs and Engineering Programs:
All documents listed above plus copy of Diploma of Bachelor's degree with Transcripts of Courses taken and Marks.

Post-graduate programs:
  • Candidate's of sciences degree study:
    All documents listed above plus copy of Diploma of Master's degree or Diploma of Engineer with Transcripts of Courses taken and Marks.
  • Doctoral study:
    All documents listed above plus copy of Diploma of Candidate of Science.
Internship and Advanced Courses for Foreign Students:
  1. Copy of School Certificate or University degree Diploma;
  2. Medical Certificate, proving that the student is in good health and able to pursue a serious program of study at a technical university (including results of AIDS test, made not earlier than 2 months before the submission of documents);
  3. 12 passport size photos;
  4. Certificate of Birth (original or copy).
  5. Description of the subject and purpose of internship
Russian Courses:
  1. Medical Certificate, proving that the student is in good health and able to pursue a serious program of study at a technical university (including results of AIDS test, made not earlier than 2 months before the submission of documents);
  2. 12 passport size photos;
  3. Certificate of Birth (original/copy);
  4. Description of the command of Russian, course subject (Russian for businessmen, Russian newspaper language, everyday Russian, literary Russian, technical Russian etc.)
Academic year for Preparatory course, bachelor's study, master's study, engineering courses for foreign students starts on September, 1st. Russian courses may start at any time convenient for students.
